Easy Searching For Car Spares

Its that time of the year for us when we need to renew our car M.O.T so my wife took it into the test centre yesterday, unfortunetly it failed because the far left passanger side seatbelt has snapped off.  This is not a new fault as it was like this when we bought the car 3 yrs ago, its never really been a problem as our car is an 8 seater so the kids just never used that seat, and although this same car had passed the M.O.T  at the same test centre for the last 3 yrs they still failed it, with the bloke saying to my wife "you obviously didnt hide it well enough this year" lol.

Anyway we need to get this seatbelt sorted in 10 days so that we get our free retest, beause we can't really afford to pay another 50 quid, so today my wife and i started to check out the internet and phone around some local breakers yards to see if we could find one...

After some searching around my wife found this site called Breakerlink.com which is like one of those price comparision websites but for car parts, here is what it say's on there homepage...

Submit your request instantly to 100s of breakers across the UK
Start by selecting the type of vehicle Car, Van or 4x4
or complete your details  on the right
You'll then receive no obligation quotations
Choose your best offer - saving you up to 80%
Nationwide delivery available

So my wife entered the details and hit enter, and as if by magic within minutes her inbox was filling up with quote's and also her phone started to ring constantly with people offering her the best deals, this site saved us a hell of a alot of time and really cut down our searching and for that reason and the fact that it was a very good service i thought i would share it with you all..

We got the part we needed for £27 with next day dilivery and now we should be good for another year at least...

Thanks for reading

This post of yours is brilliant and very useful. Glad you got the seat belt fixed. What do they mean you didn't hide it well enough? Goes to show they never tested your seatbelts previously - which could be dangerous!! Anyway, glad you got it sorted.

Thank you for visiting my blog too. Welcome anytime.
