ProSound L58AW Wireless Microphone

Not sure where to start with this one but basicly, i got up the other morning feeling full of beans and ready to spit some of the new rhymes and lay them down on a track or two, only to discover that some how (most probably the kids) my jack plug on the end of my mic had snapped off.

Well i can tell you i nearly cried, but the truth is ive been looking for an excuse to buy a better microphone for ages, but there was no way i could justify buying one when my wife knew i had a working (although cheap) one. well i found my excuse now and promptly explained i was going into town to buy a new more expensive microphone,
as you can imagine that went down like a lead balloon but i wasnt going to take no for an answer.

so my twin sons ryan & kyle my daughter jasmine and me all walked up to the town and i went into our local "Maplins Electronic Store", now there was a lot of mic's in there but they wasnt really what i wanted as a wireless mic is not really what i need because i use a mic stand most of the time, but they didnt really have any coreded mics that where any good.

So i made the choice to test out one of these wireless one's, the one i looked at was all black and it was some make i had never even herd of before, it was priced up at £59,99 so the guy got it out the case for me wired it up and let me test it in the shop, to be fair it sounded good not amazing but better than my last mic and for the price i was happy, so i picked up a new mic stand & spit/pop filter and told the assistant i would have all three.

Now the assistant rang up the total and said he would go out back and get me the mic, and put the other back in the display cabinet, so off he went out back and came out with my new mic in its box, he charged me the price that he had already rang up on the till, i paid and the kids and i left the shop. It wasnt till we got home and i opend the box that ryan says to me, "thats not the mic you asked for dad", so i take a look and see the boy is right, the assistant had picked up the wrong box and instead of giving me the £59,99 microphone he had mistakenly given me the £99,99 one.

So i had a result i got the more expensive mic for the cheaper price, and as it turns out a much better quality one, for example a friend of mine has a "Sure" wireless mic thats £240 to buy and as yet we can not tell a difference in the sound quality between the two so i had a big result it seems. The only problem is that i have a chest infection at the moment so i cannot really use it properly and ive got to wait lol.
